Ivaylo Mihaylov is a Bulgarian tenor. He obtains a Bachelor degree in classical singing from the State Musical Academy "Pantcho Vladiguerov" Sofia, he is the disciple of the world-known soprano singer Valerie Popova.

In 2012, he wins a scholarship from the Ministry of the Culture of Bulgaria in the "Boris Hristov" Academy in Rome, Italy, where he studies under the supervision of Giuseppe Taddei.

He proceeds to a program at the Academy of Lyric Art in Osimo (Italy)

His debut in Sofia National Opera and Ballet /Bulgaria/ was in 2012 as Ernani from Gusepe Verdi’s opera “Ernani”. His debut in Bucharest National Opera and Ballet /Romania/ was the next year as Faust in “Faust” from Charles Gounod’s opera “Faust”. In 2013/14 he is mentor and judge in the first edition of Pop star to opera star – Vietnam and a vocal coach in X-factor. His debut in “Carmen” as Don Jose’ was 24 of may in Porto /Portogalia/ 2014. His debut in “Cherevichki” of Tschaikowski was in Teatro Lirico di Cagliari / Italy / in December 2014, broadcasted on RAI 5 on 08.01.2015. In 2015 hi is a part of the production of “La Boheme” in Teatro lirico sperimentale of Spoleto – Italy as Rodolfo.

He works with eminent maestros like Donato Renzetti, Carlo Palleschi and stage directors Yuri Alexandrov, Giulio Ciabatti, Giorgio Bongiovanni.

His most powerful roles are:  Ernani, Don Jose’, Rodolfo, Nemorino, Duca di Mantova, Don Carlo, Fenton, Pinkerton, Alfredo, Radames, Faust, Vakula /emission for RAI 5 08.-1.2015/, Cavaradossi and more than 30 other roles.

He has records for Bulgarian National Radio and Television.

He is  vocal pedagogue of the Plovdiv's boys and men choir "Stefka Blagoeva".

Globally, he has had worked as a soloist in the most of the Bulgarian opera theaters.

He is fluent in French, Italian, English and Russian.

Ivaylo Mihaylov is a disciple of the eminent Bulgarian tenor Kaludi Kaludov.
