Gülbin GÜNAY Soprano

Born in Antalya, in 1983, started her musical education with piano and violin lessons at Antalya Fine Arts College. After graduation, she continued her education at the Opera Department of Dokuz Eylul University State Conservatory and studied voice with Tenor Aydın Uştuk.
She has participated the Master Class of Paolo Ballarin and she took place with in his final concert. She had been chosen for the role of Mimi –La Bohéme during the competition of ‘60 th Concorso Associazione Lirica e Concertistica Italiana’ ( As.Li.Co. ) and she has performed this role in Como, Cremona, Pavia, Brescia theatres.
In summer 2012 she has won the master to study at “Georg Solti Accademia di Belcanto” in Italy. In addition working with the masters of Royal Academy, she studied with Dennis O’Neill, Richard Bonynge and Angela Gheorghiu. At the end of the master course, Angela Gheorghiu has chosen her with other three soloists to partecipate at BBC TV masterclass.
She performed title roles such as Orpheé (Euridice)-Gluck, La Bohéme (Mimi)-Puccini, Le Nozze di Figaro (Susanna)-Mozart, The Turn Of The Screw (Miss Jessel )-Britten, La Traviata (Violetta)-Verdi, Giulio Cesare (Cleopatra)-Handel and Symphony No:9 (Soprano Solo)-Beethoven, under the direction of Ivan Stefanutti, Flavio Trevisan, Vincenzo Grisostomi Travaglini at the Halls such as Teatro Sociale di Como, Il Teatro Grande di Brescia, Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona, Teatro G. Fraschini Pavia, Istanbul State Opera and Ballet, Izmir State Opera and Ballet, Mersin State Opera and Ballet, AKM Istanbul, Bayreuth Stadthalle, Üniverstatd Erlangen Nrünberg with conductors such as Borislav Ivanov, Antonio Pirolli, Damian Iorio, Alexandru Samoila, Peter Valentovic, Gian Luca Bianchi, Paolo Villa. She is a member of soloist ensemble of the Istanbul State Opera since 2007.
